The latest victim of the COVID-19 pandemic is not a health care worker, a first responder, or a cruise line traveler. The purveyor is not an invisible microbe. The perpetrators of the latest assault on men and women in cities and states across the country are left-wing governors and mayors who have decided the pandemic provides a convenient excuse to deny law abiding citizens the freedom to exercise their Second Amendment rights.

Well, since they think they have suspended the Bill of Rights, I as a Citizen am fully invoking the Bill of Rights as it was written.
So I no longer have a need to asked the kings men for any type of permission to live my life and my pursuit of happiness.

More an attack on the 4th. Right to peaceably assemble. These quaint historical documents never stopped tyrants and never will. And we’ve had our share from Lincoln the most vile on down through FDR and the Supremes. Less than 500 political critters stand between 330 million citizens with about half that many guns, and the crippling status quo the parasites enjoy. But they’re not worried.
 
To paraphrase a bit from Robert Bolt's A Man for All Seasons:

And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned 'round on you, where would you hide ... the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, ... and if you cut them down ... do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then?

You forget they have the military on their side.
 
True, up to a point at least. No doubt private armies as well, over, within, and besides the officially sworn. Trump's election was a great anomaly that took them off balance. They got his ass in line pretty quick on big ticket swindles. His big Zionist funders and shameless pandering to Israel keep him upright. He could still perform superhuman patriotic feats if not for those pesky 6th floor windows, etc. I bet he's tired....
 
Lots of people were out enjoying life at Jordan lake yesterday. So many boats and pickups, lots were full. Latinos carrying poles and buckets around the dam. Beautiful hot day. Not a care in the world. Gas stations were busy little cities. Watched a cheery documentary on survivors of 1918 flu epidemic last night. True horror. Viruses were still unknown. Too small to be seen through microscopes. 50 million dead perhaps, more or less. No Blue Cross or medicare. No cure. No stock market crash and bail out. No $2.2 Trillion stimulus recovery act (USA alone,) hand wringing and recrimination. And they kept on fighting WWI to boot. Contrast in perspective makes you wonder if we're even the same species. Keep on rocking in the free world!

For the same reason they haven't shut down ABC stores: They are run by government, and government always takes care of its own first.
 
They're losing much bigger money on bars and restaurants. Not to worry! NC has a so called "revenue neutral" clause. All that means is any money they might lose from sales taxes they can add onto real estate taxes. The current reassessment would of course raise everyone's taxes anyway - right on schedule. This little plum of a virus will make them spike even higher. These idiots never plan for negative events. They always borrow as much (or more than through tricks) as legally allowed knowing the cash cow of real estate is theirs to milk. Even if values crash, like last time, they just wiggle the numbers . The pound of flesh must go where it always goes, to the lenders. "It's about quality of life, " our local moron in chief is fond of saying.
