The World Will End in 12 Years

Dismissing the fact that she's a complete and total moron, all you really need to know is this: "The world will end in 12 years if we don't address climate change, and your biggest issue is how are we gonna pay for it?'" she said.

Like taxing Americans can fix a non-existent problem.
 
Exactly which initiatives are you suggesting that we spend money on? Which aspect of climate change will each initiative reverse? How do you propose we measure our progress?

None of them have any clue. They just know that is costs money to "do something".
 
This loosely comes from that socialist based Green New Deal mentioned which Screwy Doo is a fan of. The professor who wrote that POS said it had to be done by 2030 ... not that the world was going to end but it was ”necessary”.

The big part is get rid of all fossil fuels by 2030 (including power plants using coal, natural gas, oil and nuclear) replacing them with solar, wind and geothermal ... using what funds? They claim like FDR’s New Deal this would end unemployment and give everyone jobs with a “fair living wage”.

There’s a bunch more from socializing health care (way worse than OdumbaCare), public education, election reform, banking reform, cut military numbers (persons, bases, asses and a boat load of other socialist agendas.

Bat guano crazy stuff ... but the way the mass are learning “history” or “politics” from Tweeter or Facebook anything’s possible down the line.

She doesn't believe in climate change anymore than Al Gore or any other radical extremist on the left out there believes in climate change. She doesn't understand what it is or how it works regardless of whether climate change is real and caused by man, or real and caused by nature.

The only thing she understands is that it is a tool to convince people to vote for her or people like her so she can satisfy her thirst for power and control. It's not about anything else. These people don't really care about the climate or the effect it has on our planet (which is none by the way) or it's inhabitants. They want power and control over the people. That's it. End of story.

Has anyone seen the news story lately about how the coffee bean is rapidly going extinct? If you have, did you notice the reason behind the coffee bean's rapid demise? Yep, you guessed it...... Climate Change. So all of you coffee drinkers out there better start voting for the folks that are going to bring down the gauntlet on industry and employers so they can save your coffee before it goes extinct forever.

I wish I could multi-like this. @Qball is dead on here. Most of them don't believe it, either, but the opportunity to inject themselves into everything is intoxicating.

One thing you have to give old Al, he's still a capitalist at heart. He goes out and invests in "green" companies, then lobbies his buddies in Congress to pass laws that require us to use them.

I (think I) understand what you wanted to say, but this statement - or, rather, the parenthetical part - didn't really come out quite right. I mean, it is axiomatic that climate affects the planet and its inhabitants.

Yep ... the socialist tyranny to be specific. I am not quite sure but all the socialist crap she wants ... free healthcare, free college, rip the Constitution apart, tax the rich to pay for the slackers and so on ... means the USA becomes a socialist governed country and I can’t think of a socialist country that lasted close to a century (somebody help who knows history better). If the US continues down this socialist highway for 12 years I’d be real concerned about the future of the US ... with debt to support all the programs and such on top of what is already there we’d be owned by China or such after an economic collapse the country could not survive.

Allow me to explain what I meant by "none by the way". Any and all climate changes, weather, natural disasters, volcanoes, tsunamis, etc....... all have an effect on the inhabitants of this planet. As far as the planet itself? Nope. In my statement above, I stated: "These people don't really care about the climate or the effect it has on our planet (which is none by the way) or it's inhabitants."

I should have said, "These people don't really care about the climate of this planet or the effect it has on it's inhabitants." The planet has been here much longer than we have and I don't think it is going anywhere anytime soon. As George Carlin so eloquently put it: "Pack your bags folks. We're going away. The planet isn't going anywhere. We are." Lol.

Did anybody notice she said, "...and, like, this is the war. This is our World War II."? You would think any college graduate, from Boston University, with a degree majoring in economics and international relations, would know we already had a World War II. She never, ever gets anything right.

I thought Hank (Guam will tip over) Johnson and Maxine (impeach foughty-five) Waters could fight it out as the dumbest US Representative ever to serve in Congress, but I think AOC might have them both beaten.

I never looked at it that way. Dang, maybe she's smarter than I am. But she would have been better understood and made a better statement with WW3.

I listened again and the generational analogy was at the beginning. But it hasn't been a generational issue, that is WWII, since the generation that was about a half-generation before my Dad was born, and he's almost 86.

I agree that it's an inane analogy. And I stand by my comment that she never, ever gets it right.

I'm not defending her in any way, just to be clear. She poorly stated her thought on top of there being no equivalence between the two things. But, that won't matter to her followers. They will swallow whole whatever pill she is selling, as most of them are incapable of critical, coherent thought. They FEEL the same way she does and she makes them FEEL more powerful and in control of their own destinies.

She is, quite frankly, an idiot, but a dangerous and very useful idiot in the right hands. Time will tell if she continues to be so to her masters, no matter how unwittingly she may or may not be being used.

I was with a guy from NY today and the radio news had a story about her. He stopped what he was doing and said I can't believe she is a Congresswoman from my State. I reminded him that NY has elected a couple Cuomo's, Bloomberg, Dibalsio and Gillebrand. He sighed and said he's too old to move. The more she speaks the better we all are. She is a raving lunatic and sounds so. All but the most ignorant see that. Let her talk.

We should have a betting pool on how many times she says 'like' in a given speech or interview. She sounds like an 11 year old girl.
 
FOX had a rover in her district, 95% of those asked agree with her tax idea and one guy said 90%. Those people are nuts. Morally right beats factually right.:(
