Need some help on pricing.First is a mod 19 Texas Ranger commemorative nib .unfired .
Second is A mod 25-2 model of 1955 45 ACP
Any help on these would be appreciated.
There is a section in the forum for post like this. https://www.carolinafirearmsforum.com/index.php?forums/appraisals-whats-this-worth.69/
I would also suggest going over to the S&W forum and asking their opinion. Those are collector type pieces so some people will give you a $$$ they would be willing to pay but to maximize your $$$ you need to find the right collector who has the right hole in their collection. If you are going to auction like on GB the ideal is 2 such collectors willing to pay to fill a hole. Good luck Nice guns.
thanks. I tried posting pic on S&W but to no avail, cant do it . more difficult than here.
My WAG would be the following:
$900-$1100 on the TX 19 unfired. The price of run of the mill 19s have really jumped. I see people paying $800 for a 80%-90% gun. If it is truly unfired it will command a premium. IIRC they made about 10,000 of the TX ranger 19s. The grips are unique. Do you have the knife that came with the gun?
The mod 25-2 model of 1955 45 ACP is a $800 ish gun unless it too is unfired. Then you can push it a little north of that.
Again these are WAGs based on my limited knowledge of S&W revolvers. I am no expert but know enough to be dangerous. LOL
Both are great looking revolvers, and I've have to think long and hard about parting with them. For the Model 19, do remember commemorative models, as nice s they are, have a limited collectors group. For the one you have I'd think $800.00 - $1,000.00.
As for the model 25-2, again I'm thinking $800.00 - $1,000.00.
Best of luck.
Are these beconning you @thrillhill ?
beckon: to summon or call forth, as in, "The siren did beckon Odysseus"
beconning: to pilot a ship, as in, "Yo, I beconning this vessel!"
I'd like to phone a friend.
Yeah, very nice pieces. Been in more of a selling mode here lately though. But thankfully that is almost over.
Both of these have been sold for several weeks now. Thanks for input
You can click thread tools in the top right of your screen and mark them "sold".
Edit: Actually, I don't know if you can do that in the appraisals section
I sold a TR with knife and badge about 6 weeks ago for $1,200. As to the other one I hope you got all the money. N Frames are killing it right now.
