After my shoulder replacement surgery, I shied away from the larger calibers. Its been a year now. So I got her out, dusted her off, talked nice to her and guess what. The old girl still has it.
Two shots same hole at 100. Would have shot more but no need.

I have always been confident in her to preform. :D

Now bring on the backstraps.

(I did however loose the ability to, temporarily I hope, draw my bow. This season has been a hard wait for me to draw first blood)

Glad the new shoulder is working out, but I doubt the deer are going to feel the same way!

That .308 looks ready to me! Good choice but wouldn't you rather use a .223?

Hmmmm. It is shoulder friendly but I'm good.
:p

ps ... I'd rather do it with any of my Marlin calibers .357, .44, 30/30, .35 rem., 45/70 but when I'm just grocery shopping the .308 gets it done and at greater distances.
