I thought it seemed shorter than usual.
On October 19th, 1781, Lord Cornwallis had a really bad day with George Washington at Yorktown.
Cornwallis, not willing to personally surrender his sword to George, begged off as "sick" and sent General Charles O'Hara in his place.
George said "two can play this silly game", so he chose General Benjamin Lincoln in his own stead to accept O'Hara's sword, a slap in the face to the British as Lincoln had to surrender to the British at Charleston, SC the previous year.
Pretty much said "You kicked my ass in one battle, but you just lost the war mofo. What do you think of them apples?"

...And the live feed from Ground Zero was cut with talk-over from a studio prompter-reader the moment one of the family-members speaking-live (eulogizing his uncle) started directly criticizing the "politicians in attendance behind the barrier there" for their incessant promotion of disunity in this country.
Corporate Legacy Media could be our greatest nemesis. OTOH, I'm seeing evidence that a lot of people are figuring this out.
