Make no mistake, I love your playlist too.

I love it all!

I have yet to find an era or a "genre" that I don't like (cept most everything after the late 90s). Just depends on what night it is.

So....you like Nickelback. Right?

The truth is, all those mid 70's songs you like were WILDLY popular when they were new releases, and top of the charts. Every one of them. I had just moved to Black Mountain NC to school in 1974 and I was living with guys from up and down the east coast. I got introduced to music I had never really heard much of before and was listening to all kind of stuff that wasn't getting airplay.

That makes sense. That's the year I was born. Mama and daddy was probably sittin in the Nova listening to it whilst I was swimming around. Must be why it got stuck in my head.

Bill, you and I may get along pretty well. I dropped out of pop/top 40 music in '72. I went into my Latin jazz phase then but, I still liked much of what was coming out of Motown. I was too busy having and taking care of babies after that to pay attention.

And they most likely listened to this while in the Nova. I know that I did and it worked in a 72 SS/454 Chevelle.

Yeah, we're good. But, we always knew we would be! LOL! Got to drag my sorry butt your way eventually.
If you two ever spend an evening together I think it should be mandatory that a crew from History channel, NatGeo, heck, even PBS... Someone needs to record it.

Don't get me wrong.

I'm a grown man.

The last concert I went to was Filter opening for White Zombie. Hell of a show.

I've seen Johnny Cash in concert twice.

Talked to Jerry Reed backstage at a show.

Passed out at an AC/DC show.

Saw Metallica when they didn't suck.

I've had more tickets to Doobie Brothers shows than the Doobie Brothers had.

Conversely, as I mentioned to folks here recently, I have never really had any emotions wrapped up in celebrities, actors, singers, whatever.
But, as manly as I think I am, for the first time in my adult life, I gave a crap when a celebrity passed. When David Bowie died I was surprised how sad that made me for a few days.

I like it ALL! For the most part.

This is only because you I think a few of you are as dark and twisted as me. And proof that not all that comes from North of the Mason Dixon Line is bad. Hide the women and children, cause this one ain't right...

Just caught this thread. Hopping in late, but my 2 cents is that this forum is the most fun I've had in a forum in quite a long time. Don't change the fun trash talk combined with good info. Smart folks with a good sense of humor makes me feel right at home.

Well, it kinda escalated a little quicker than usual out here in the shop.

Hate y'all missed it.

With that I better sign off for the night.

See y'all tomorrow!

I may have to make my annual pilgrimage in fall. I'll hold the rest of the city folk's hands so they'll feel safe.
And maybe one of them will drive me home.
In the Terminator? Might be able to arrange something. :p

Marvin Gaye still worked in the late 90's early 2000's. Although a Mustang from the 90's doesn't have much room.

I grew up just outside of Detroit, listening to a lot of this music on the radio, vinyl and tapes. Thanks for the good memories fellas.
