This is different

Who made it?

That's sick... I wonder if you can get a stock like that for a Ruger American?

EDIT: Nevermind. Would be an NFA form 1 anyway if it didn't come from the factory like that... Stupid ATF...

You mean Remington doesn't sell R700 pistol receivers? Bummer
:)

Are there R700 clone actions that you can buy as a receiver instead of as a rifle?

That would be pretty stealthy, even with a can on there. And legal to conceal carry in NC with a permit, should it be revealed? Or does NC have some rules about the max dimensions of a CHP-legal carry handgun?

You would have to buy a blank receiver. But yeah there’s plenty of options.

One of those R700 micro actions would be sweet, but I don't think many chassis systems are made for it.

Probably not, savage acations are also easy to come by. I think a 223 bolt and receiver combo runs around 300 bucks. Then do a remage barrel.

That’s so neat!

@Slacker

It's really Keen, Wally!

If the lands and grooves are straight, it's all good to go, right?

Guessing that's the "lefty" model. Doesn't seem like extricating one's self from the brace, or reaching over with the left hand to cycle the bolt is a very well thought out system for operating a weapon.

You mean there are people that actually use them as braces? Really?

Truthfully, I have no idea how those things are used. When I wanted a SBR, I ponied up for the stamp. Braces strike me as disingenuous & snarky & for the price difference between those braces & a stamp, I'll just get another stamp. I get it, some of y'all don't want yer name on a list, but with 61 years remaining on my NDA, I'm pretty sure my name's already on a few.

Why a bolt gun? I thought about an sbr bolt gun but then I couldn't figure out what I'd do with it.

It's not the list for me, it's the stupid wait time and extra cost. On top of that all the dumb rules about where you can and can't have it above the already dumb rules...

Ok so why a bolt action pistol?
ETA. If it was a SBR what is it good for? And what is it good for now?
Super compact/lightweight and could fit easily in backpack/car/etc
Super quiet with subs and can
Fun project and fun to shoot
Perfect for mafia hit man
