I have a feeling you’re part of a big wave of forms that’ll be rolling in due to Trump Bucks.

Forget about them and hope for a Christmas surprise!

Meh...they’ll all be back by the end of May. Might all get batch approved in ~2 weeks when the first one gets looked at.

I hope your SBR one is as short as mine was - less than 10 days and I had a digital stamp

    Probably need to clarify size/material/caliber...

I looked around a little yesterday to see if I could figure something out for a 410. There were definitely things in stock, depending on what you were after.

    That’s one option...

“Creative” used to give 30% off, but it appears to no longer work
    “”Snipershide” still gives 10% off

    @jjwestbrook

Don’t get your hopes up since there’s no real consistency, but I saw a 4/10 approval today...yep, 13 days.

Anybody have any of the drill fixtures locally for quietbore? I’m thinking about ordering a 22, 9mm and a 30cal can from them. Would prefer to not order all the drill fixtures also but wouldn’t mind splitting them if someone was interested.

I don’t, but since I’m local I’d be interested in seeing your kits in person at some point.

Please don’t miss the fact that .30 kit is listed at 2.1 pounds.

That’s what I was about to ask. Usually with EForms, they’ll clear out whatever you have submitted when the first one is processed.

    Not really.

Because those are stuck in stacks of papers, shoved in boxes, lining the hallways and rooms.

There aren’t many that offer complete kits. DM makes good stuff. The communication isn’t very good for most people. I get fairly decent replies, but I s been working with him for years on getting stuff done. Nothing comes quick, either. DM does some questionable things, like a spacer after the last baffle in some kits. I could’ve requested him do it different, but just told him the dimensions I wanted.

I think Nick @ ECCO does the best work, no doubt. But I don’t think he offer kits at the moment.

I’ve never ordered a kit from anybody else. I’ve had some pieces made locally, and bought tubes from other places, as well as having tubes turned down elsewhere.

I'm interested in some titanium suppressors, but it is very difficult to machine. I recently bought an additional lathe that should be suitable for threading ti, but it will be a while before I have it up and running so a high quality solvent trap that I can Form 1 is attractive.

What do you think about mounting? Griffin or YHM booster? Potential hosts would be a ppq 9mm and a ppq .45.

I haven’t done a Form 1 booster can, so I’ve done zero research on that. I think a lot go the Griffin route.

I’m not sure which ones are “internal”, but I’d look that route. The ones where they’re designed to mainly be inside the tube instead of adding a bunch of length.

My 2¢...I wouldn’t give SDTA a plugged nickel. Some subpar material, and some very questionable business practices in the past.

Do you recommend thread on or 3 lug? Any accuracy differences?

They have a lot of happy customers. You may end up being one.

Even with all the cans I have...I don’t own anything 3-lug. I either use YHM QD on rifle calibers, or direct thread for everything else.

Tons of people run 3-lug and I’m not aware of many complaining about accuracy issues. 3-lug should prevent any can loosening while shooting. Also works well if tucking inside a rail.

I can chime in for ECCO. At @BigWaylon recommendation, I made contact with Nick. I learned that they don’t do full kits as a service. He’ll make a solvent trap to your specs (short waiting list). A trap consists of a blind end cap (no hole), a machined tube, and a threaded cap which will direct thread onto a barrel to capture cleaning solvents during cleaning operations. Once you have an approved stamp in hand and choose to make a suppressor, he’ll discuss recoring the solvent trap as a separate service. Everything I’ve seen and read, his work is absolutely top tier.

I’m on the waiting list for a trap and am waiting for my Form 1 to get approved in parallel.

I was working on a project several years back and I procured some threaded Ti tubing from TSW in Cary, NC. They use mostly Ti tubes & Inconel baffles in their products. You might be able to source components from there...(?)
