I had a few buddies that wrestled in HS. One them had his arm bent back the wrong way and shattered his elbow. My other buddy said it is still the worst sound he ever heard. He looked over and saw the elbow at 90 degrees the wrong way, dangling. Whenever I talk tot the 'elbow guy I am always sure to bring it up. :eek:

His knee hyperextended the wrong way. Doesn’t show any blood or bone.

Not that bad to see.... With proper technique and let within your limits, this won't happen...

I earned myself a hernia last year using proper technique but over my weight. I learned the hard way. Don't learn the hard way.

Machines bad, free weights good.
Nothing wrong with a leg press provided you're not stupid. Leg press is a great accessory lift that doesn't stress your back.

But it shouldn't be used to boost your ego.

Ah that killer ego. Always a problem in the gym.
 
At least he has a valid excuse to not have to work out for a while.
