As a couple others have shown above … invest in a hand stop! … especially since you’ll likely run it without a stock for a couple months.

That's a nice score! After you get your SBR, the factory MP5 fixed stock has a really nice cheek weld. I like it much better than a retractable stock for accurate shooting.

Don't form 1 it. Brace it. A3T or the Gear Head Works Tailhook. They're essentially the same as a stock.

I have around 500 rounds through mine, so far, no problems. I have an Obsidian 9 in jail, can't wait try it suppressed.
