Someone gave me a Super Titan snap safe -the kind you bolt together. Has a decent fire rating and price is right. I have no experience with them. Anybody here? Thanks for any input you can offer.

I have no idea what those are, but the price was fantastic. If it was between this and nothing, this wins hands down. If/when you outgrow it, it will still be valuable as a secondary safe or for ammo storage or something.

I had one years ago in CA. My house was hanging on the side of a cliff in Oakland. It was 40 steps down from the road to the top level, another 20 steps to the main level, and then winding around and back to get "under" the house to the crawl space area.
It would have cost me a couple of grand in labor to get a normal safe installed and I couldn't be sure the safe wouldn't fall through the floor.
It was a bitch to single-handedly move the door section but the rest of the panels weren't bad at all. If you can handle a socket wrench, assembly is easy.
Is it as secure as a welded safe? Of course not.
It is as fireproof as a welded safe? Nope.
But... It fits the bill if you need a residential security container in a weird location, or have to move frequently.

Naw -I'm going to take it to my place in Va. -just to have a safe up there. Really don't like transporting a lot when I go. Kind of afraid of running into a Barney Fife in some of the towns I go through. The way Va is going never know what their attitude will be.
