So its been a while since I took a class and been thinking of taking a few from DCNC. Those of you who have taken their classes how were they? Thanks in advance!

Chris is a great instructor and knows his stuff. I will say be ready to work you butt off and be pushed to your limit ... in a good way! I do not think you’ll be sorry for taking a class or three with them ... especially carbine.

Chris and Steve are excellent. I've taken three of their classes and been extremely pleased at all of them. They work harder, and work you harder, than any instructor I've ever had. The material they cover is very relevant to the topic. They come prepared with a detailed lesson plan. They have some safety procedures on the range that I haven't seen before, like having a first aid kit nearby and pre-assigning duties to specific individuals in case of an accident. Chris is an incredible marksman and has many years' experience working in a high-risk unit in a large urban PD.

One thing you need to expect is that Chris takes cussing to an art form. Remember Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Full Metal Jacket? Chris could write for him. I mean, I heard things I didn't hear in the Navy. OK, I confess, I laughed at it. A lot. And his um, colorful metaphors will help you remember things like which fingers you insert into the mag well to clear a jam (I will leave this to your imagination). But I have a buddy I'd like to attend one of Chris' classes, and I know my friend wouldn't like it very much. So just be prepared.

Whenever I stop making excuses and actually take a class, it'll most like be with DCNC.
A friend of mine knows Chris through work and has said nothing but good things about him and some of the training he's seen.

I admittedly haven’t taken any of their classes, but I have known Chris for quite some time now on a personal level. Top notch dude! I have a good friend who has taken most every class in the DCNC curriculum and he keeps going back for more!

Colorful cussing? I want to sign up just to get some good material.

Thanks for the insight. I may end up taking one of their upcoming classes I'm not easily offended by cussing as I have a colorful vocabulary too. I mostly want a good return on my $ if you know what I mean.

Chris and Steve do a good job. I’ve taken 3 courses from them, and I will be taking more. They usually have a coupon code available somewhere on their site or online pages. As far as the cursing goes, they ask at the beginning of the day if anyone will have an issue with profanity so they can avoid making anyone feel uncomfortable.

I know this is an old thread, but I rarely ever venture in here.

I took one class from DCNC and will never take another one...and that's largely due to the aforementioned cussing. It's absurd and has no place in a training environment. It adds zero to the class and takes away plenty.

One of the guys that runs it has a pretty poor reputation on several boards. Kind of a running joke.

Well, I'm pretty grown up, heard all the bad words and probably used them.
I didn't go there looking for a new best friend to invite to the family dinner table for deep conversation.
I did take 2 classes to improve my shooting ability.
I don't know if I'm any better but the guys taught and then pointed out things I could do to make me a better shooter.
That is exactly why I would take more classes in the near future... And, I plan to.

Where do the guys from DCNC have a poor reputation? And what did they do to earn this reputation?

There was this time in the early 80's at a party, Chris was using his alias "Kav" ....
