Thoughts on Hi-Point 9mm carbine?

Has anyone tried the Promag drum? I just ordered one, eta is Wednesday. Will have range report shortly.
Sorry for delay, I tried the 30rd Promag in my High Tower Armory Bull Pup but it would not lock in place.
I compared the 10rd magazine to the Promag and noticed the extra plastic was causing the problem.
Dremel to the rescue and I'm good to go.

The HiPoint 995TS was the first gun I bought. You can still get it for a bit above $250. I have run maybe 1,000-1,500 rounds through it with no problems. No issue using steel case ammo, either. I could make an 8” group at 100 yards a few years ago when my eyes weee better using the iron sights.

As a former owner of carbines in 9 and 40 I would say that mine never were 100% reliable for some reason. This may be an outlier but that was my experience. I will say that taking them apart is a bit more evolved than on most modern guns, you actually need wrenches and stuff.
The outlier is you. You were a hi point owner that could afford ammo
