I had seen a couple trailers for this when it came out. Since it’s on HBOGO right now I watched it tonight. Honestly with the caste I expected a dark comedy. Turned out to be a pretty wrenching drama with a few moments that made me actually chuckle.

There is a scene, that I won’t spoil for people who haven’t watched it, where one of the characters has written a letter to their wife and I caused my allergies to strike.

I recommend it as long as you’re in the mood for a drama. Strange ending though IMO.

Horrible ending to a crap movie. The letter part was the only part worth watching. The wife (Abby Cornish) smoking hot.

Huh. I looked but didn’t see it.
No worries brother
I liked the movie, great cast and, like you said, more drama than comedy like I figured it'd be.
The humor present was very dark, and, yes, that letter was hard.

Watching Cold Justice.
They are doing the case on which the movie was based.
The murder was actually in Texas.
The screen writer was on a bus traveling through. The image of those signs stuck within him.

The police had enough evidence to go to the DA for a search warrant. But the DA denied it. Why?

Current DA also refused to go forward despite the mountain of circumstantial evidence. Maybe he is trying to protect the legacy of the office.

It was ok. I expected it to be better. Two of my favorite films by this director are:

The Guard and In Bruges. - both of those are definitely more comedic, and still dark.

I liked the guard, I'll have to checkout In Bruges
I started watching 3 Billboards and could not get very far in it before I gave up put on something else.

I liked the movie, Frances mcdormand did a excellent job , don't always agree with her politics but she's a heck of an actress. Also thought Woody harrelson did a.good job as the sheriff
