Tikka T1X- Whittakers is shipping preorders

Has anyone here shot one yet?

I lightened the trigger up a lot... it involves removing the action from the plastic stock but that only takes a couple min.

I have a few hundred through it. Sorry no report on accuracy. I am in the process of joining a range with enough distance to do so. The quality is bang on though and it’s crazy accurate at 25 yards.

Any info available on how these are shooting for you guys?

Finally got mine out today , shooting at 50 yards in the rain down at the ENC range in Goldsboro.

I got the Vortex Diamondback sighted in pretty well, and for an old half blind guy, it sure shoots well. I was just plinking away with CCI SV, and got some nice groups that looked like about a half inch or so (I wasn't going to wade down there in the deluge to check further). Its a light, handy length and as much as I enjoy "Walnut and Steel" it's a treat to shoot.

The trigger on the thing sure breaks cleanly. I need to level the bipod or rotate the scope in the rings at it's got some cant in it, but I sure am happy with it.

I had a Winchester 52B with a Lyman SuperTarget Master with it also, and the Tikka shot better (the scope sure saw better too!)

Did I mention it was raining? And raining, and raining.....

Hello? Still curious about the Tikka T1X

Just about everything you would ever want to know about it is in this mega 90pg thread on Snipers Hide:

Mine still sits in the factory stock although I keep wanting to put it into the KRG stock to match my two main centerfire rifles. Accuracy is good, but I'm not trying to shoot BR with it. One addition I did make and that has improved operation significantly is the addition of a Sterk swept bolt handle. Rapid follow up shots are super quick and smoother now.

As am I, they were to be the hot to trot ticket, now no one has anything to say about them.
What happened?
Everybody is too busy enjoying the awesome accuracy to be posting about it.
I've got one in 22lr that my little boy shoots and one in 17hmr that is the farm cleanup rifle. Both are extremely accurate. The 22lr likes wolf and sk match ammo and will shoot bugholes at 50yd almost everyday. The 17hmr likes the hornady 17g vmax and will also shoot bugholes at 100yd but requires a little more work. For the 17, I weight sort first, then overall length sort, then sort by rim thickness. The group with the the thinnest rims usually seem to shoot a little better. I'd say it'll average under 1/2" at 100 and will produce a group under 1/4" alot of times. The 17 ended up in a wood t3x takeoff stock with a sightron s-tac in 3-16

There really is no better value in a quality .22 than the Tikka IMHO. It's a really nice rifle and though they're sometimes hard to get , it's worth the wait.

The action is smooth, the accuracy is far better than I am, and it's a pleasure to operate. It's really a sleeper. I have it in its factory stock still, which is indeed cheezy, but again it's not the limiting factor in the rifles ultimate accuracy in my hands anyway.

It's one of the best gun purchases I've made. Super quiet with a can too, as you'd expect.
