No science involved. Just for poots and grins. I'm trying to decide where to hunt tomorrow morning. It will be my first morning hunt this season.

I have the tried and true blind that looks over about 1/3 acre. There's a feeder in the middle and three shooting lanes that stretch no more than 115yds.

Then, I have a ladder stand looking over 45 acres of clear cut property. The stand is on the north end, facing south. Wait. I said no science.

I have a coin flip app on my phone, but thought I would have a little fun and see what the forummites have to say.

Is the wind good for both? If so, I would hunt the one I could get into the quietest. Good luck either way!!!

You brought science into this! I think. Lol....

Wind from the NE between 5 and 7mph. That puts the wind to my back if I'm on the ladder. Not good if I'm facing the clear cut. But, the blind is on the south side of the before mentioned feeder and lanes. Plus, there's a spot of rain in the forecast.

Methinks I'll be peering out of some windows in the a.m.

Thanks!

Go with the latter

I was leaning toward this because it's all new. New cut and new stand. Nothing like a new spot to get the interest piqued, right?

I think it is definitely a morning spot, and I can hardly wait to hunt it, but I the blind wins this round. Stupid wind. Lol.

I would go blind but I prefer them to stands.... Good luck!

This blind has allowed me to put many a deer in the freezer and several on the wall. I was leaning towards the ladder for a change of pace, but with a NE wind and a little wet stuff forecast for the morning, the blind it is.

Now, if I don't finish this beer and get to bed, this ain't gonna happen. Lol.

Swirling wind this morning. Blind is the best choice, that is if you made it outta bed lol. However, overlooking a clear cut this time of year with chasing movement going on could open up tons of possibilities

I made it. Lol. Been in the blind since 6:45. Not much activity in this small spot. A small doe came in around 8 and hung out for about 20 minutes, and I just watched a tall spike cross one of the lanes.

I've only heard four shots so far.
