Got a sales email from LaRue Tactical yesterday advertising their billet lower receivers as in stock and without the usual prerequisite of having to buy an upper receiver in order to buy a lower. And since I have one of their Ultimate Upper kits on order, I jumped.
It cost a bit more than I'm used to for a stripped lower, but, I'll have a whole LaRue rifle when it's said and done.
Pictures to follow as soon as it arrives.

I like LaRue, I used to see a lot more of their rifles than I do now. Make sure you post up pics when you get that build done.

I've always wanted one of their 7.62 rifles.

And the first hiccup..........

In my heat of moment excitement I put my billing address as the shipping address on my order. So now my order is flagged and on hold.......ugh

But LaRue has my dealer's FFL on file already and I already made contact with them to get the mistake fixed.......

Ultimate upper kit in 6.5 Grendel arrived yesterday..........

Made a trade for a Magpul UBR to replace the RAT stock the kit came with.

Am probably going to add a Phase 5 extended bolt catch, and an extended magazine release button.

As of th he radio show this morning I've installed my Troy BUIS, and adjusted the LaRue 1.5 SPR scope base to fit the upper, and its residing on my Springfield Saint lower until the proper LaRue lower is completed.

Pictures to follow

Haven't updated in a while.

The UBR stock buffer tube and sleeve have been installed, just have to do the final torque of the sleeve retaining nut.

The Phase 5 catch is out, it won't clear the LaRue upper, no biggie........

Ordered a BCM Gunfighter medium latch charging handle, and a MAGPUL MIAD 1.1 pistol grip. Charging handle was delivered today, grip should be here Friday.

Gunfighter medium is installed.

Must've been a little longer than I thought since the last time I bought one. The latch design is markedly different than ones I have already.

Final assembly of the UBR was accomplished this morning, also installed a CMMG ambi safety to compliment the LaRue MBT-2S flat bow trigger I decided to use, vice the single stage I was planning on. I figured I'd give the 2S more of a wring out than I did previously.

Also mounted a short section of Picatinny rail at the six o'clock to mount the light weight Versa-pod adapter.

I got a real surprise when I got home and the MIAD grip I expecting tomorrow, was already here waiting on me.
Had to do a bit of grinding on the -3 backstrap to fit it to the lower, but, less the bipod setup, the rifle is complete.
