Here ya go sir! It was not as good as you may be thinking. I experimented with some seasoning and it didnt pan out quite like i hoped it would. I wont use the low temp smoke step on the next one either. Now yall know why i was quick to promise @Burt Gummer some LOLPost pics when this is cut and headed to plates for supper time. @Geezer and @BatteryOaksBilly
We be watching for yo pics bro.
Bringing this up to ask a question of the pellet smokers.
What do you do if an electrically control stops working mid cook? Has anyone run into any issues or are the electronics pretty robust?
You panic and fire up another grill.
My Yoder came with another fuse. From what I read about the Yoders is that the part most likely to fail is the ceramic igniter. You can get it going without that, but having a spare on hand would be good. I need to order one. If the electronics totally malfunction I think you are toast. I’ve got a Big Green Egg also so I could get by. I also have a grate for my little fire pit so that’s an option too.
I really would love to consolidate to just one grill, but the thought of something breaking in mid cook scares me. I will be curious to see how pellet grills do for the long haul.
If you didnt have more business than the president, you could come by and get a belly full or a to go plateAnd you are the grill master with these Southern delicacies my friend. You know how to take pork products to a whole new level sir !
Now I'll be salivating all weekend just thinking about those last ones we wiped out when you brought them !!
Them Akorns are a heck of cookerHickory smoked boneless thighs. I ran the temp up to finish them and applied a honey bbq/teriyaki sauce.
