I wanted to touch base and see if there was any interest in a meetup in the North Eastern part of the state. Since deer season is coming up I figured a deer hunt might be a good excuse. Numbers would have to be limited but I do have family land in Franklin county where I could host. I can probally accomodate 3-4 hunters. If there is enough interest we can discuss details. This is at the spitballing stage now but this is a great forum and I would enjoy meeting some of the members.

I might could be interested in this.
New to the state and deer hunting around here. Would be nice to make a few friends .

I forgot to add that a liability wavier will need to be signed. Nothing serious but don't want to get in a unlikely jam.

I am looking at my schedule and need to figure out November but thinking the week or two before Thanksgiving or first weekend in December. Now that I have wife/stepson my calender has gotten a bit wonky. I might look at doing it durring muzzle loader if folks have them and doing a late season man drive. Thoughts/input welcome with scheduling.

Are you only looking for very seasoned hunters ( if so I understand)? Been hunting up in NY maybe 10-20 times a bit before I moved down and taken a couple deer with a bow but would not call myself a seasoned lifelong hunter. Spent alot of time in my treestand though waiting. I miss it, and would absolutely be interested in something like this because im definitely not comfortable going out on public land here solo having just moved down last year.

If you are thinking about muzzle loading season, it comes in a week from tomorrow.

Will this be hunting with dogs or still hunting? I'm in Halifax county and would enjoy meeting other members in the area. Interested in further details.

Still trying to figure out schedule. Black powder is out. Thinking about a late season man drive.

Bumping this. How would the last week of November/first weekend of December work? If folks are interested in still hunting I have a few option depending on numbers. Folks would need to bring stands of pop up blinds. Depending on skill/safety level I would like to do a man drive but hunters would need to be expereinced and use shotguns. For safety sake I would want to talk to folks before inviting them on a man drive.
