Trump inauguration parties?

Where can I go at lunch around Cary NC to watch it? Preferably with sound.

A couple 3-4 of us neighbors are having a bonfire / bbq / shine-fest tomorrow evening to commemorate this most auspicious occasion.

Sort of trying to encourage a 21-gun salute at my range, though, unfortunately, probably in absentia as my wife has a ophthalmologist appointment that might preclude my getting up there.

I think this is appropriate for this thread,, just saw the following pic of our new Commander in Chief arriving in DC for the inauguration, the salutes really kinda overwhelmed me for a minute... that sure looks like a smile on the face of the serviceman, as well as a big freaking sigh of relief..

Time for a beverage..

While I appreciate the insanity of that question, there has to be some place. Thank God I only work in this town/county.

I have heard the Jersey Mikes at Lake Pine and 64 plays Fox News all day. Just saying.

I'm sure there are a few hold outs around the containment area. I've watched the place turn purple, then blue, and it's sad :(

Tomorrow will be the first time in 8 years that I will actually watch and listen to the President speak. I have never watched or listened to Obama speak for more than ten seconds and only then, by accident.

Y'all need to go to Spanky's, right there in Chapel Hill. Awesome food, in the heart of Progressiveville. I know the Executive Chef there - typical progressive Bernie Bro, but a hell of a masterful cook.

Ask for him (his name is Domenic), tell him Steve sent you, and you're from the gun forum.

Then please, for the love of God Himself, take a selfie with him, inauguration in the background and post it to the CFF Facebook page.

(The food really is outstanding, and I don't believe the place was posted. Well, I didn't notice it when I was there last year and concealed means concealed.)

smirking that he is not forced anymore to salute a president that hates the US. I wonder who else he is going to pardon/commute sentence before non on Friday - maybe khalid sheikh mohammed

I have to work, but my wife is working from home to watch tomorrow

In Cary. So there are insurgents!

Me either, Dave. He never had anything to say that I cared to hear, or that didn't turn my stomach.

When I was a cub draftsman, I kept a radio in my office to help pass the day. My mentor, a man of about 44yo at the time, came in to listen to Reagan's inauguration and cried like a baby the entire time. I never really understood why until this election.

I'm tempted to go out as it starts and send up a green flare. Because things will surely be more alright then than they are today!

This is the first time in 8 years I have been proud of my country....oh wait, sorry.

Today has been a stellar day for me. I closed on the sale my rental home and made a nice profit...I passed the Registered Exterior Wall certification exam for work (Consulting Engineering firm), and its Obummers last day in orifice.

Don't know if I'd go so far as to be proud. Relieved maybe. He may be better than Killary, but he's still something of an asshat.

No party for me. I get to travel to the beautiful city of Cincinatti with my daughter for a volleyball tournament. Not excited about traveling in and around Cincy on inauguration day, but I will be fairly prepared. If anything truly nasty happens there I hope to be hunkered down and inside. But if something nasty happens I will be as prepared as I can without the shocks on the car breaking down. Maybe I should have an Obama bumper sticky handy for blending in if there are riots!

That's actually not a bad idea. Might want to rough it up a little so it doesn't look too new.

Where to watch it live online? Yahoo? YouTube? Whitehouse.com?

I'm considering going to a steakhouse with about 8 TV's so I can see all the more victories. : D

unless there is a football game going on at the same time... :/

and dont worry about riots, if you have to worry its because you failed to pack the 12 gauge.;)

So good it was worth saying twice.

I've been waiting for this day for over eight years.

How some Congressional Democrats will be spending their day tomorrow.

We ended up talking McGregor Ale house into televising the Inauguration with sound over their sound system. We tipped the waitresses about 50% for doing so.

Nice ;)

I stopped in at a local McDonald's yesterday (don't ask why) just before noon. This particular location has three large TVs in the main dinning area. These TVs have always been on everytime I've walked in and always on the same news channels, including CNN and either MSNBC or CNBC, and espn. Interestingly, yesterday all the TVs were off during the broadcast of the inauguration. Just a coincidence?

They probably didn't want their workers to burn the place down.
