Anyone have or shot both? Debating between the Taurus TX22 and the Sig P322. Just looking for a reliable semi auto to have fun with, any opinions are helpful.

TX22 - Cheaper, more accessible at the moment
P322 - Have other Sig firearms, 20 rd capacity, optics ready

TX22 competition comes with a threaded barrel and optics ready. I can't speak for the sig but the tx22 competition has been very reliable and accurate for me.

I have a Taurus tx 22 and have about 1,000 rounds through it with no problems. All different kinds of ammo shot. Not sure about sig warranty but Taurus tx22 lifetime warranty.

Decided if I can’t find a reasonably price P322 at the gun show this weekend I’ll just go ahead and grab the TX22.

Thanks for the input guys 👍

I have the tx22 great grip feel. Haven’t shot it much. It also comes with the treaded barrel and adapter like the competition. Can’t speak on the sig, but hopefully it’s not a POS like the mosquito. I’ve also been eyeballing the fn 502 tactical.
But my RIA xt22mag. Now that’s my favorite.

the 502 is a winner.

P322 is unproven, and Sig doesn't exactly have a good track record for brand new products. It's apparently somewhat ammo picky.

I love my TX22. I really have no complaints about it, especially considering I paid a whole $250. Taurus knocked it out of the park.

The TX 22 is a sweet shooter; the competition model is even sweeter. Just depends on what you want.

While the Sig looks very promising, there is no way I would drop the coin until some time has passed.

For the $$ I cant imagine you would regret buying the Taurus.

I love my TX22. I got mine when they had the rebates and got a good one without the barrel issues back then. I have around 6000 rounds through mine now with half of them being suppressed with a Dead Air Mask. No issues with ammo. I have both the Galloway Precision and TandemKross +5 mag extensions on all of my mags with no issues. I will give a slight edge to the TademKross extensions because the look a little better. I have also upgraded to the Tademkross fiber sights and the halo charging ring.

Sig has a terrible tendency to use its first-gen releases of new guns as beta testing among the consumer base. Expect something to be wrong with it on initial release. I don't have either gun, but in your shoes I'd go for the TX22 this year, and the P322 next year.

People snubbed their noses at them when they were like $200 (maybe even lower?) but people love them for $350 or whatever they go for now. Strange world.

Can find them new at your LGS for about 250-320 depending on color. From what I hear it should be a great gun for the price so I can’t wait to pick one up 👍

Oh absolutely, I got mine down in Fuquay for a whole $250 during COVID panic. Technically "used" but no wear marks. Get plenty of mags.

Probably my favorite gun to shoot and I truly mean that.

Keep an eye out for the 6 Magazines and a Pouch for $99 shipped at Shop Taurus. I finally lucked up and got it when they ran it back in February. They have done this deal now 3 times.
