Forethought and action finally pays off!!! This time last year I had a hodge podge of battery powered crap that needed D, C, AA, AAA. I began to notice that fewer merchants were carrying D and C size lights and batteries so I began converting my stuff to AA and AAA.
This go round it paid off. I got out my small lanterns, flashlights, radios and other stuff and all I now own runs from the small batteries, easier to find and seem to last as long as the D's and C's ever did......

Sanyo Eneloop are good batteries. They are rechargeable and hold their chrage well. I only have the AA size, but Sanyo makes C and D size adapters, allowing use of AA cells with equipment powered by C or D cells.

Costco is a good place to stock up on batteries. If you can find an adapter to put the small ones in larger devices, it may pay off in a crunch. I noticed before the storm, C and D were nowhere to be found, but the smaller ones were all over.

Even better is to ditch to ancient 1.5v batteries altogether and get you some 18650 3.7v goodness. They last forever even with 500+ lumens, and even the cheap batteries are good. Since almost every larger vape machine uses them, they're cheap and in stock at vape and smoke shops everywhere.

This thing is a high quality low cost Martian communication tool
