Stopped by Mid-South guns in Wagram this morning and this beauty caught my eye in 45 70. It didn't have any choice but come home with me. 34" Heavy barrel, this is the heaviest barreled gun I have ever handled and I love it! It will force me to get in shape lol.

Excellent rifles. I have a friend who had his rechambered to 45-110, added vernier sights and made an exact replica of Quigley's rifle.

Might want to put a aperture front sight on as well. Good tang sights as well as front sights are made by Hoke, Baldwin and MVA. I have a replica Sharps rear tang sight and a Lyman front aperture lying around here somewhere if I can find it, PM me if interested.

What a great find, Ts! I made my Quigley Wannaba from a Marlin Cowboy 30-30... added a Lyman Globe front sight and a Soule style tang ladder sight. Haven't had a chance to try it at long distance yet, but I'm workin' on it.
