I do recall hearing a loud boom on Monday; but no real cause. Wife mentioned several people reported it on FB, Ft Bragg was supposed to be on training holiday.

Almost all of those prophesies came to be in AD70 when Nero sacked Jerusalem. The Jews suffered horribly, the warnings about not being pregnant because the gals couldn’t flee fast enough, the Christians not being harmed because they fled to Petra ahead of Nero, Nero’s name in Latin is 666. The desolation of the altar, Nero sacrificed a pig on it. Not one temple stone left on top of another happened when it was burned, the gold ran between the stones and was dug out, etc. Christ stated at the time it would happen to this generation.

The Ring of Fire has been quite active...

The only earthquake I have felt was about ten years ago. It centered someplace in Virginia in the mountains and followed the granite belt all the way to my home office in Tega Cay, SC.

I remember it felt like someone nudged my chair from behind. I turned fully expecting someone the be standing there. When I turned back to my computer screens, I couldn't really focus on them and it was a strange sensation. I hear what I though was a large dump truck outside. I ran outside to see what kind of truck could have shook my whole house that way. There wasn't one and that's when I realized we just had an earthquake. Wish I had been watchung the lake because I'm sure it would have been noticeable.

Experienced a 5.1 when I was in middle school. It was lunch time. It started with this rumble like someone was pushing one of these carts they had with a big TV and VCR for movies. Didn’t think much of it at first, then a couple of girls started screaming. Next the covers over the fluorescent light fixtures started popping open and the walls, mostly cinder block, started cracking and gaps formed. The worst part was feeling these pulsating waves like an invisible hand kept pushing or slapping me.

My neighbor, in another school, said she was in gym class and the wooden basketball floor started waving like an ocean and these brick / block pillars wobbled like they were soft clay.

A lot of people reported hearing a large boom.

I never want to experience that again.

A few years ago, at work we were sitting in the conference room and the building shook. I didn’t think much of it as we have a big thermal storage tank coupled to a district cooling loop and sometimes the operators would equalize the pressure and things would shake like that, but it wasn’t them and reports said it was a small quake.

When we lived in Mexico City in the 60s, we had one that rocked the house, and Mom staggered down the stairs during it and came into the kitchen to find us all sitting wide-eyed in shock. The first words out of her mouth were, "What did you DO?"
(Addressed to my younger brother, btw, not to me.)

The next one I felt was here in NC. I saw a bottle of water shimmying around on top of the TV...
