The day is winding down and as I was having a light supper, Dad called. He says the road to the cabin had been fixed where the loggers had messed it up. He was saying how good of a job was done and thought I might want to see it. I wasn't really interested, but I know he was excited, so why not? He said my wife and her dog could come, too. So, we all piled in my wife's truck and headed up there.

We decided to swing by one of the feeders on our way out. Piggies! And they couldn't care less about the big ol' white Z71 with four people and a dog in it.

It was a neat thing to watch for the next 4 to 5 minutes.

In before the "how do I get rid of all these sob....they are destroying everything" thread.

I didn't want to see them here, but honestly, the land doesn't seem any worse for wear since they've burst on the scene about a decade ago. They seem to hold tight in only a few locations on this tract. Also, the neighbor does a decent job of knocking down their numbers by trapping.

I still would prefer they not be here.

We had two on our property several years ago. They tore the place to bits. My neighbors eventually took care of them. I hope they stay away for a long time to come.

Your wife, her dog and her truck.....what's going on here? Who's the fourth person? Is this sarcasm or animosity? Inquiring minds wanna know.
