Looking for 2 gun or similar matches that could be pistol or rifle only in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Charlotte area. I've never done a formal rifle/pistol sport like IDPA but I'd be open to it. I'm less interested in winning than I am with getting out and getting some practice, so a less serious environment is ideal to me. I've looked at Greenville Gun Club and will see how they are next time, I've previously driven to CCGC's amazing 2 gun matches but they're so far from me. Anyone have area recs?

The GGC Two Gun matches are very popular.
Ever considered cowboy action? We have three clubs in Upstate SC that hold monthly matches. The next is the Greenville Gunfighters (Greenville Gun Club) on March 26 (4th Sunday).
We use two revolvers, a rifle and shotgun. Greenville has a Josey Wales category in which revolvers may be used on rifle and even shotgun targets. Rimfire rifles and revolvers are also allowed.

I don’t know of all the clubs in SC but I’m pretty sure Belton Gun Club has several different styles of matches. There is a USPSA match twice a month, I believe, in Spartanburg. Great 3Gun and Carbine/2Gun matches at Zoo City in Asheboro, NC. And a Walnut Grove 3Gun in Bostic, NC but I’m not too familiar with their matches.
Yes at SPSA. It’s a really friendly match that I’ve always enjoyed. They also do falling plate matches on 5th Saturdays that are fun. SPSA is pistol only. No rifle or PCC at all. http://www.shootspsa.org/
