Found some Speer 90gr JHP bullets in my box-o-misc stuff; decided to have some fun with 357sig and see how zippy they could be.
9.0gr of CFE Pistol was getting me ~1675 fps over the chrono. Wee! The max load in the book is 9.5gr so I'm going to bump it up to 9.3gr and see if I can break 1700 fps without touching the max. That's fast enough for... uh... whatever.
Using a conversion barrel for my G23, so this is out of a 4" gun. Found that at 9.0gr the recoil is not too bad at all. Way easier than actual .40 out of the G23 and slightly tamer than 125gr Speer Lawman factory 357sig loads (which are running at ~1350 from the same barrel).
Now I want a 9x25 Dillon barrel for something.
