Anyone have any experience with them, likes or dislikes?

Just got one and so far it seems great for in the woods.

Glock 21 fits just fine...along with several other pistols.

Wore them in the Army. I didn’t care for them as a combat holster, they set to high up and no body needs a flap holster in a fight.

The only thing that I remember about those holsters was the complaint that you couldn't easily pull down on the holster flap ring. Folks attached a small loop of cord or a duct-tape tab to the ring to make it easier to pull.

I recall that the flat was removable and there was a thumb-strap accessory available for the holster.

Thanks for the info, so far I like mine! (Just using in the woods, which for me can be often)

Been using them since the late 80s around the world. I've got several in green nylon and black leather. Flap is removable and reversible for left hand carry. Bianchi made two versions of drop leg extensions, flimsy and rigid. I've got a rigid extension with a thumb break addition. I've still have a rig with USGI web belt, extension, holster, mag pouches that I've carried, dove, jump around the world with. Is it a speed rig for CQB? No! Does it protect and carry the gun securely in adverse conditions? Yes!

M9 in M12 holster, Jordan 95 Rubber band holding flap open.

good deal, thank you for sharing!

I had one until the plastic perished inside somewhere and it was a good secure woods holster. Wouldn't use it for anywhere I expected to need the pistol though.

Wanted to add that the M12 made to fit the Beretta 92/M9 will also fit a cz75, 5906 and 1911. The 1911 with hammer down for the flap to close IIRC.

I used one as a field holster for my 1911 when camping, woods bumming, etc. I certainly can't cite combat use, but I can say it held a 1911 very securely on two rolls of a 4-wheeler. It was fast enough to access for my needs, but, again, no combat experience for me.

I like 'em.

I taped two empty 9mm cases one on top of the other with 100 MPH tape and through the thumb tab to make a longer flap release for my duty M12 holster. Not as elegant as a parachute cord pull tab but I had the 9mm cases and the 100 mph tape!

Usually the concern in the Army seems to be about not losing the handgun rather than being able to draw it! If the flap could be riveted closed over the sidearm I think many senior NCOs and officers would be happier

It’s not that I hated them, I still have a couple of them around here somewhere, but I found holsters that functioned better.
