My wife was in a Jeep accident decades ago, while serving in Germany. No fault of hers, she was just a ride along. Several lingering issues that never went away. Was told at the time there'd be no compensation for her injuries (broken ribs, ankles and an assortment of other issues). Turns out that was complete belony so she did file a claim on her own at first. 10%.
We then got a lawyer involved and she went from 10% to 30% then 50% and we're not done yet.
Bottomline is if you have any such claims hire a lawyer, it's worth the money.
