VA Unemployability

I’ve been trying to contact several VSOs with my question but no one ever answers the freakin phone.

I am IU with P&T and I’m just wondering what would happen to my benefits if I go back to work.

I’m assuming I’ll go back to my original rating but I’ve been getting very different stories from people I talk to about it so I’m not sure.

if you go back to actual work they will pull it, if its a part time gig earning marginal income then you can keep it (as long as its poverty level wages)

Yeah, there’s a difference between 100% and a 100% unemployability.

Been down that road. Rated 80% and paid 100% under IU. Landed a part- time gig that worked great for a couple years. One year I went $500 over the poverty limit (they use the lowest number, single, no dependents). Was sent a kind letter informing me of my transgressions. 100% benefits pulled and kicked back down to 80%.

Linked up with vetguard and got back to 100% p&t and can work away now. But that was one stressful year.
