I recently purchased a Frankford Arsenal Vibra Prime from a forum member and I have to say that it is the BOMB! It works very well and saves a crap ton of time loading the primer tubes. I have to tap it with a screwdiver every once in a while if a primer gets stuck but even with that it is still much quicker than using the pickup tubes and picking up 1 primer at a time. Thanks @JimB

wrong Jim, unless you had a really interesting day yesterday ;-)

I occasionally have problems flipping the primers (screwed up Federal boxes) and/or with feeding into the tube. I have found that when it starts, it is time to clean the tray and drop hole with a rag and Q-tip with some spray Pledge on them. Just a little wax and its off to the races again.

I bought one a few weeks ago, I haven't even taken it out of the packaging because I've been loading on the single stage.

A friend gave me his because he could not get it to work with large primers. Most of my ammo takes small primers and it works well with those. I called the company and they sent me a new tray for the large primers but I've not been able to get it to work right with larges.

I picked up a Hornady primer tube loaded that looks like a 1911. I'm getting used to it but it seems to work OK with smalls. Haven't had a chance yet to load any ammo that takes large primers.

I finally took mine out of the packaging and after three goes, I decided manually loading the tubes was faster. I guess I'll have to schedule some training with you at some point in the future:eek:

I went through three of them.... each one sucked worse than the previous....

Finally I got the dillon feeder, its the ticket and hands free! CCI primers feed like a hot knife in butter. Winchester have a few issues but for the most part about 1/200 has some issue and doesn't go it and requires some assistance. SB and Federals had more issues than the other two.

another option for handheld unit is the PALS filler.

You boys are doing something wrong or it's possible that the ones you have just suck.

I even tried using my dillon pickup tubes. The only thing I didn’t try was the large primer tube. The device would feed half a dozen primers and then a primer would get hung up in the drop hole. Then, I would have to remove the tube and use something to straighten out or remove the offending primer.

Make us a training video!

I bought one. it sucked so bad, would barely vibrate.... I took it apart and it had damaged electronics. Frankford Arsenals' parent company is the one that handles all the warranty claims. they sent me a replacement unit. It had much better vibration, but you'd get 2-3 primers to drop then it'd hang up.... rinse and repeat... They sent new tubes and the same thing. New tray and same things happened even with different primers. They sent me a third unit and it was just trash too. It only took them 7-8 months to warranty all this shit too..... so they have that going for them.
