Video: Red Dot Revolution

Yup.. I think this is where I'm headed.. My eyes are funky enough already and the dot just seems to make that not so big of a deal.
Following the advice of others here from my post "Sight for old eyes" 1 or 2k of FMJ range fodder and a few YT vids for basics seems to be helping.
The dot made it easier, quicker and more accurate..

..Still tho'.. At times when I have donned my tin foil hat at just the right "jaunty angle" and mebbe read too much FreeRepublic over the course of that same day, I will wonder if becoming somewhat dependent on these digital electronics is still such a great idea. šŸ¤”šŸ˜Ž

If the dot goes down you have 3 options.

Point shoot

Use the outline of the optic window as a peep sight or the "wings" of an rmr as shoulder holds

Or use your irons

I recently put a dot on my 5" m&p. It's a game changer imo.

I shoot a bit with red dots on my pistols. I've run Cmores, Fastfires, DeltaPoints, RMR, SROs, on and on and on...

The best ones I've been able to put my hands on for the competitions I do are the Sig Romeo Max and the Romeo XL. They are phenomenal, even with my astigmatism. They are almost as crisp as the Cmore slide ride dot but since the housing is so much smaller it sits much closer to the bore axis.

No doubt in my mind that it is sped my up a bit with my pistol shooting. I'm not much of a fan of the small plastic Romeos that are designed for carry guns. I am all about those Max and XL models though. Only downside is they are very expensive.

Been shooting exclusively rds pistols for like 4 years. This is the way, dot everything!
