I’ve been trying to avoid posting because I’m sure everyone gets tired of the “what scope is right for me?” questions. Yet, here I am, lol.
Picked up the new Ruger SLAR (small frame AR10) and I cannot decide what to mount on it. I was pretty sold on a LPVO like the Strike Eagle 1-6 but I realized that I already have fighting rifles and this one isn’t likely to be used for that purpose. I may take a shot at a whitetail from 50-75 yds if one wanders into my back yard and I may “stretch” it out to 2-300 just for fun. Don’t see it going any more than that. Considering one of the two scopes in the title for a little more magnification. Anyone have any thoughts on these two for these purposes or on their overall quality? Is there something else I should be considering for $500 or less. Both of these are $499. Thanks.
