Perhaps they stopped by and let them know they were going to visit the citizen.

How many times did these guys show up to antifa members houses?

I get things 'could be worse' could be 'more extreme', but you dont think the country has been moving along that direction of the spectrum? I thought this was pretty bizarre.

a member of this very forum is there, and posted about he was walking around checking the place out. decided he staying on other side of fence based on the ridiculous rat maze they set up. If I were there, I too would be sizing up all the temp infrastructure and taking pictures. why? same reason as most, "to know where I should be and how to get TF out if riots and bloodshed start".

it pisses me off so much I want t drive down there just to go walk around taking pictures. waste their dumb azz time.

Guess that explains why all the supposed good cops stand by and watch when the jackboot wrongfully goes off on someone.

Even in this thread, looking at who “likes” what post paints a blue line.

The old guy was correct, they’re going to have to decide between who signs their paycheck and what’s right, wrong and the oaths they swore to get that “authority”.

Task forces are set up with agencies like the State police,Homeland Security etc. which gives the normal agencies further reach. Like it or not it's lawful. It the same reason 7/10 agencies in NC have an officer with FBI/ATF/DEA training and funding.

The funny thing is that people see this shit and still defend the behavior that has plainclothes civilian cop harassing a Citizen on his own property for “suspicion of pre-Operational planning.” That simple phrase - as it relates to the government’s activities to curtail the inalienable Rights of the People to speech, to assembly, to petitions for redress of grievances, to arms, to their persons, houses, papers, and effects - and what I suspect for some will, over the course of today, include habeas corpus, the Right to a speedy trial of their peers, and the Right to not faces excessive fines or bail, and cruel,or unusual punishment - shows that these two “good guys” view the People at large as the enemy.

But no one wants to consider the ramifications of the police acting in such a way because they got a good cop buddy who promises not to enforce any of these crazy laws.

Nine out of ten will shop you in a train car and then high five his buddy for their low speed, high drag takedown of a “domestic terrorist” while they chase the high of Hero Worship that’s so closely tied to their fragile egos.

Only in the supposed Land of the Free would the People adore the very institutions which the Founding Generation fought 8 years of war and spend countless weeks constructing a framework of government desperately trying to prevent.

The constitution does not grant the federal government any such authority.

I expect you are going to be front and center for the rally today in Va? You know, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men do nothing."

Nope. Uncle does A LOT of things that aren’t an explicitly granted power. It gets away with it because people let it and believe in its “authority”. The most dangerous superstition is a belief in “authority”.

The cops drove to a guy's house and had a conversation. They left with an earful. I see no tyranny happening here

Dont fall into these traps looking at the video:
"This reminds me of bad stuff other cops have done at other times"
"My(the guy) intentions are good so why are they here?"
"Nothing I did was illegal so you have no right to talk to me"

Richmond is a powder keg and they're searching for anyone with a match.

agree. But I see the level of suspicion and concerted effort to question someone 2hrs away as an alarm of sorts. He was walking around looking at fences to size up where he will be when 10k people arrive...at the most public place in Virginia no less.

this is not tyranny, but this IS evolution.

if his behavior was so concerning and so many officers were following and observing him on scene, couldn’t they have just asked him then and there? “Hey dude, my partner and I here got a bet going on you, he thinks you suspicious, I think he’s stupid...mind filling us in?”

It’s intimidation tactics. Show up a miles away days later, and say “we’re watching you because we got some tip from some officer of the laaawwww”

    Were they both Capitol Police?

The guy in the Tacticool zip up with the subdued American flag had some sort of common access card/ID displayed but no badge. The citizen distinguished between the two by only asking him to leave. I wonder if he was some sort of federal liaison.

It's definitely informative but why is it alarming? We've been talking here for weeks about the possibility Richmond could turn violent.
I'm not alarmed that LEO agencies are also in that mindset and getting in front of it.

    Here's what I learned:
Someone's watching Richmond and have been for a while.
The watchers are remote, at least in part, and probably not contemporaneous.
The analysts are looking for terrorism related activity.
They have facial recognition in play and The Guy was in their database: face, name and address at a minimum.
They have enough manpower to send two agents hours away just to talk to a guy.
They are playing by the rules, at least in public.

The level of suspicion does not alarm me - in fact it seems just about right. Based on what they said they observed, and what I think Richmond represents, the guy looked like a duck. Worse still, when they went to talk to him he quacked like one too.

Given that my wife and I are in the process of separation/divorce, and I had the kids this weekend through today, I didn't make it to Richmond today. As much as I try and instill a profound sense of Right and Wrong in them, and the value of Liberty and importance of defending it - I wasn't going to take an 8 and 4 year old into that crowd by myself.

But I appreciate your constant gum-flapping.

That chip on your shoulder sure does keep principled people honest.
