Visitors to Battery Oaks

@JT You're looking in the wrong direction but Brangus actually is in this photo of you.
In those pictures I am looking either down or up. So that's not much help.:(

I think that is Jill. Yes, I too would have missed the fall.

I was trying to conduct an ammo trade with her a few weeks back, but some guy was hanging around, trying to talk to me about something. Couldn't get away from him.

@Millie just left about 30 minutes ago. She shot G22,G23,G17, Sig 365 and the NEF 500 S&W. Great day!
Thanks for letting me visit, it was great to see your faces after so long away!

That rifle.....wow! Not a lot fun to shoot, but I think I did ok with it, and I'm glad I tried it out!

Today @Etruett was here and we shot @Butter Bullets. The rounds he sent were 124 JHP and 115 Ball. Also some Frangible of unknown weight. All 3 shot to the same point of aim. We made a cardboard trap around a metal plate and shot it from 3 yards down to 1 Foot. There are some good pictures hat Eddie will post later. Only at 1 foot did I get Any indication of "splash".
We decided to see if the ammo that doesn't splash will in fact penetrate. Since we were mostly interested in anti personnel we decided to test penetration of a Wallet. A wallet was "procured" and 3 credit cards, 4 business cards and $500 in cash were put in it. We stood it up on a table and shot it from 3 feet away. And...................Pictures to follow...

Pictures are posted in another thread. By the way, do you guys see my $500? I know my wallet felt lighter after I left!
I've left there many times with a lighter wallet. But, it's because he's put on his salesman's hat and sold me something that I didn't need. That man could sell a hog a ham biscuit.

Maybe I should look in my range bag. I might have bought something and didn't realize it.

Ima be needin a few more for some In Depth Testing. Know what I mean????????????????????????
Same here.
Billy has sea level testing covered, but we need to test these in the mountains also to be sure they will still frange in the thinner air.

Battery Oaks, it's worth the trip! I always walk away a little smarter after each visit.
Missin you @Button Pusher...Had a visitor this morning for some gun trading and now 3 fine shooters out there blastin away!!

They are Really good shooters..they came to Kill the Wizard:p:p:p:p:D:D:D:Dnope........

I know what you mean -- I walk away smarting too!
I am looking at a yellow handled A.G. Russell pocket knife right this second that you were kind enough to give me. I think about your gracious generosity every day. Every where I look in the Gun Room there is something to remind me of your friendship. I thank you...Never think for a moment I take it for granted.

Any small offering I may have left there pales by comparison to what you and @RS have done for all of the CFF family! Speaking for myself, any weekend day spent at Battery Oaks is a treasure beyond compare.

Thanks Pard. I hope a lot more CFFrs will get a taste of The Old South this year. Come anytime, we appreciate all that share their time with us. The Bunk House is ready for Spring with the windows open and the breezes blowing. The outside shower is close to a religious experience. Glad to have made it another year!!!!
