Visitors to Battery Oaks

Hmmmmm.......I've never been on one of those......
I have a Temperpedic Hospital bed that belonged to my mother. It raises and lowers and on each end and has a VIBRATING MODE!!! I'll cut you a real deal if you want one. Its remote controlled as well.
You might not ever leave home again!!!

I learned my lesson with the nasty Taurus revolver.....
Always try first, then buy.
Hey now, one person's nasty is someone else's special...

If you ever want to let loose of that kitchen gun, you'll let me know?

The Kel Tec?

TODAY!!!!!! @Etruett , @Jeppo and @MacEntyre all on the compound. So very good to see these folks today!! What a wonderful visit. I shot Mac's P35, it was like All P35s, I want it too...@Jeppo will be along directly to tell of his experience today...let's just say...he had a Learning Experience.
It's hot as Blue Blazes, almost too bad to shoot. I shot the Wizard with Jeppo's little CS9...yep, I Neeeed one of those.
I have a couple of S&W 39s to let loose "somebody" said my Pard @kcult Neeeeeded one. We'll see!?
Y'all come when you get this way...we'll open up a keg of nails or something:):Do_O

I love the front row seat, where I can sit while Billy pulls little gems outa the safe and hands 'em to me to fondle. Billy shot my BHP from 1992 with the Mossad stamp on it, one of the best shootin' BHPs I own.

There's a Ruger 10/22 on the wall with a stock that I'ma gonna copy. It's got the butt stock carved so it has only a top and a bottom piece holding the butt plate, and a lotta holes in the forend, makin' it lighter than a plastic stock. Only problem is that it's painted black...

So, @MacEntyre and I were “in the neighborhood” ( o_O ) and dropped by to catch up with @RS and @BatteryOaksBilly. It’d been far too long. Happily, @Etruett came by too and was nice enough to memorialize the occasion for posterity. It’s awfully nice to get together with good friends. :)

Billy’s right about the learning experience. It involved his new Sig P365 SAS. I need a little time to ponder what I learned and I’ll make a thread trying to describe it. Thanks for the teaching moment Billy!!!! :D

Sounds like y'all had a good visit. Well, except for poor ol' @RS, she had to leave to get away from all of the craziness. I know, we talked on the phone while you all were there.

There was no craziness at all. I was there to make sure that everything was serious and no fooling around.

@RS was sharing a cake recipe with me. When she told me who all was visiting I could see why she had to go.
You were missed (and there were no Glocks in evidence). :D

Raymond is outta the Gates and headed back North!!! What a nice man. He seemed to be most taken with the fit and finish of the 2020 Python.

Right now our daily visitor is visiting. We call it "ole grass and skeeter grower". The rain...heavy again. The ground is full. For only the second time we have water on the range.

maybe i asked this before but where is said compound?

since i have the weekends off i’m thinking of swinging by sometime if ok... maybe @Ikarus1 will get to shoot that barrel i got from him lol
Conway SC

@wvsig and any other BHP cohorts...Today we had a visitor stop by that was a constant companion in the 80s. He brought an old P35 built in the 80s by T.L. Almond. It has several features that were "the" thing at the time and one that I have never seen repeated. The grips are Paper thin, the safety is the lowest of all you will ever see, the S&W sights are beautifully executed . The piece that really stands out is the S&W Model 52 barrel bushing installed. This gun is a Tack Driver. Wayne Novak said he was stealing the safety for one of his guns. It has to be handled to appreciate it. Thought some of you might enjoy this example of 35 year old gunsmithing genius.
