Vivint vs ADT

vivint works well enough. but their tech support is garbage

I have had service with them for 8 year. I have a full alarm system and camera system.
the instal was quick and professional. Everything works as it is supposed to. A few years ago someone rattled the side door setting off the system. I was able to look at the app on my phone, see it was a bad guy, when they called me I told them what I was seeing. The got the police out there quick.

initial install is a little higher then national companies, but your sales and service folks are local.

Vivint's ads would be more impressive if, rather than a whistle, their device made the sound of a charging handle being racked. ;)
 
fwiw, I have a friend who's house was broken into several times about 5 years ago. She had an ADT alarm. The alarm worked fine. The perps simply didn't care, they knew a residential alarm had a certain amount of lag time built in (alarm co calling around before notifying the popo, then the popo not treating it as a high priority).

Thats the majority of alarm companies due to the number of false alarms. If you have a camera system that you can allow access in the event of an alarm police will arrive much faster.
