Waco

Anybody going to watch this 6-part miniseries? I think it starts next Wednesday.

I think I’ll peobably watch it just so I can know what fallacies to correct when I hear people taking about it.

Nope, don’t care about the truth, the spin or the lies. Of course I followed it live, some who didn’t might find it interesting.

The one to watch will be the Commander of the FBI HRT Rogers ... he was the idiot behind Ruby Ridge 8 months earlier and FUBARed Waco even worse ... he went against more advice in Waco than anyone else. Also Reno’s stupidity coming in right as everything exploded at Mt Carmel.

Wonder if they’ll reveal all the leaks the Feds had that let Koresh know there was an undercover agent and his identity? Will they tell about the reporter who an agent leaked they were about to raid the compound? Ironic thing is that reporter asked direction at the post office ... from a postal worker who was related to Koresh who tipped off the Davidians. There are so many stories told about how the fire started, how many of the women and children actually died (suicide rather than burn to death), etc. The whole miniseries will likely have me yelling “but what about ...” guess I should just watch reruns on MeTV and save my blood pressure.

I doubt the extreme of both the Feds crazy reach and psycho state of Koresh will both be fairly shown.

i stand with the people at the compound. David K didn't make anyone stay who didn't want to be there.
History is always written by the Victor.
76 people dies over "Suspected GUn Violations)
At least the Davidians fault them instead of what most sheeple would have done.
This is what happens when you tell the Gov "NO"

If it's made for TeeVee (which I fired years ago), I won't hold my breath waiting for nuggets of truth.

No.

I watched that government sanctioned murder live on t.v. as it happened.

Don't care much to watch a series about it that will, in all likelihood, try to convince me that I did not see what I saw.

Govco is losing legitimacy in the eyes of the people. Events like Waco are inflection points on that progression. They’re desperately trying to re-spin it to a new generation, but the tighter they close the more sand slips through their fingers.

I agree with @noway2, repackaged BS intended to convince a younger generation that all is well with govco.. I don't think there'll be enough holy water to get it to go down with anyone that watched it unfold on live TV.....

Watching it live on tv still didn't show many aspects of the operation. For instance...

During that time I was part of an Apache unit based in Ft Campbell, Ky. We had been assigned to assist the Border Patrol along the border and were set up at NAS Kingsville while participating.

The acft were not armed and they were used for the TADS/ PNVS sights to assist in tracking illegal border crossings, etc.

At the same time, several of our flights were diverted north around Waco to assist with monitoring moments within and around the compound.

Posse Comitatus Act...sure. keep believing that :)

Anyway, there are plenty of things concerning the Waco raid that will never come to light to a full extent.
