Warbirds over Monroe NC Air Show Nov. 6-7th

I miss this show every year for one reason or another. Maybe I’ll actually make it this year!

its a great show if they do the tora tora tora bit...was hoping to bring the grandkids this year but they have plans that weekend

my wife scheduled us for a show in charlotte on the 5th, with our hotel between charlotte and her friend in monroe.
I'm sure she'll be excited to learn about what we may be doing on the 6th...

I wish there was a better schedule than "aerobatic portion of show" for 4+ hours

RinTinTinDog,

Just wanna say, “Thanks!” again for posting this up - my wife and two eldest sisters all had a fantastic time at the show yesterday!

Our Dad (WWII Hellcat pilot) used to take us kids to air shows (multiple times a year, any within days drive!) and the memories were significant!

Just wish it were closer to us in Hickory as, it was 2-hours each way which only left 2 hours to enjoy the show (6-hours is the max I feel comfortable making our rescue “hold it” for …)

But, more likely than not, we’re going back!

Heck yeah! Glad you could make it out. I was unable to attend as a family issue came up and I couldn't travel far from home.

It was a great show and well organized

Lots of food choices and quite a few airplanes

THOUSANDS of people. Lots of families with small kids too

But it was COLD. That wind was brutal

There is still time to see todays show if your close

if you saw a guy who looked like he was trying to see everything and eat a funnel cake all in under 2 hours, while trying to drag along a woman who was more interested in video chatting to show off where she was than actually enjoy where she was...
yo
we had a lunch with her friend to get to, so we were there for about 90 minutes. not exactly ideal, but there was still cool stuff seen.

We had a good time. The old C-123 looked like it was an Operation Ranch Hand plane so I hope I didnt bring home Agent Orange.

P-51s are always fun... havent seen a Skyraider in person before (personal favorite) and I bet that P-40 had to be one of the only ones still flying.

The reenactor side was cool too! Nice little show...

Missed this thread but we were there on Sunday. Much nicer day for it from what everyone has said about Saturday. We usually go every year and really missed it over the last 2. Plane diversity wasn't that great but hard to get planes to come out these days. If anybody was on the fence about going it is definitely worth it.
