What is the popular sling for a WASR? I'm having a little trouble finding what I want. I have the one pictured below on my SKS , which I like but the leather is too wide for the front sling mount on the WASRs. I suppose I could just cram it in there though if that's the convention.

I want it to be commie looking.

Are you looking for traditional or functional? Traditional AK slings, IMO, serve little purpose other than to sling on your back...I use two points quick adjusts on all my AKs.

Vickers AK sling
Ferro slingster
VTAC
...And I've actually had good experience with the Kley-Zion (Botach) quick adjust that comes with the QD swivels. Good and cheap.

If you're RH, you don't need anything fancy to attach to the HG sling mount; just some Paracord will do. I'm not so lucky.

Traditional. I like the way they look

Thanks guys.

Personally, I prefer the dark grey of the East German, goes well with about everything.

The Hungarian leather ones are also nice:

I've always used the leather milsurp ak slings for my wasr's, similar to a few of the provided links. A no brainer at $10 to your door
