Watches

Well my supercharger may have to wait. I've have always liked breitling navitimers but have not been impressed with some of their issues/quality. I have a lead on a Sinn 903 that has navitimer roots. I will probably cave.

Oris Aquis. My 60 th Birthday present to myself. I think I like it. More pics coming hopefully. The blue dial is beautiful!

I also ordered a Hadley Roma watchband for my Rolex from Amazon. The shipping envelope came with a small slit in the end of it and no watchband enclosed. After multiple emails and a picture sent of paperwork, nothing has happened except I was charged for a watchband some crook took. Sucks. This is the watch I was going to send to gsimmons to “tune up”. Maybe Amazon and I will straighten this out and I’ll have pics of this too.....

Found this watch in this box , also found a Longines . This is a Jaeger-LeCoultre Futurematic. It seems to have some value. Score!

CAF572B7-7305-47CE-82EB-886EAA2E5136.jpeg Also found this in the same box. It’s a Hampden. They seem to be famous for pocket watches, but I’ve been unable to find out anything about their watches. Anyone have any ideas?

Futurematics are interesting watches, the one I had had long thin curved lugs. There were a few different styles of dials as well. Great find!

My father in law was a jeweler in Clayton for 45 years. I’m just now going through his stuff. He died several years ago and we kept all his stuff. I still have his work bench with all his tools and stuff. Tons of Timex’s, Hamilton’s etc. Sad but cool stuff.

Not to be a scavenger but I'd love an older Hamilton.

I love that datejust. Just a timeless, classic design. Is definitely gonna be the first rolex I purchase when I am not poor lol

I will have several for you to choose from. I’ll stay in touch.

Did you get it? You’ve been mighty quiet lately. Are you ok?

Well I didn't cave but he's still offering it to me at a steal. I may have to sell some guns that I don't want to to come up with the extra dough.

I did buy this however.

@amnesia I was just at East Coast Classics a few days ago. What did you finally settle on?

... and obligatory watch pic. I just put a Seiko Diver band on for the summer for this Seiko Solar.

One of the coffee cups I use at work, along with one of my EDC knives...oh, and a watch :D That's the old band on it.

Ahh, did not pay attention to the new balancer. [emoji58] I have never heard of that brand. What kept you from going with a p1sc or paxton kit?

I called around to five or six tuners and they all recommended A&A for my power goals. The install is pretty simple and easy to tune. The power band kicks in after 3.5k rpms so I don't have to worry about constantly feathering the gas. Also, the forum board folks recommended them.

What's all this talk of superchargers. Mine came with one already on it.

Hmmmmm. Gettin' ready for another try?
Hopefully it wont take all that. Thats been my plan for a long time. However, I have found that my traction problem is due to wheel hop. I guess the factory rubber bushings are worn from my frequent improper starts. Hehe
