Waxhaw?

Hey guys, currently living in Mint Hill but wife and I are thinking of moving to Waxhaw. Not dead set or anything but have a unique opportunity if we want. Any of you hooligans live out that way? What is your opinion of the area ect ect?

More clogged/choked than Mint Hill. Less taxes because Union County. Little more of a vibrant small town downtown. Property values about the same.

In Charlotte. This is what I have heard and is one of my concerns. I leave pretty early (630) though so was thinking maybe I'd miss the morning rush hour.

Waxhaw is suffering serious growing pains. Apartments going up everywhere and no road improvement whatsoever.
I’m next door in Mineral Springs and work in Charlotte.
I leave at 5:30 to avoid traffic, but that lets me head back home by 2PM so I beat afternoon traffic too.
Afternoons are the worst. Traffic on Providence backed up almost to the county line between 4 and 6:30.
Also Waxhaw cops see nothing but revenue streams driving by. I’ve been ticketed for 2 miles over the limit before, and for illegally passing on the right just for going around traffic stopped by a slow moving train.

Waxhaw also seems to be the favorite place for New Yorkers coming here. That could be good or bad depending on your views.

Apparently he’s disturbing the woodland duck population by allowing septic waste to drain off the top of the land.

I think with just one more color/pattern of flagging, the ducks will be too confused to land in the septic run off areas.

Yeah, Waxhaw PD is friggin crazy as hell and commuting into and out of Charlotte isn't fun from any where.
