I did some Reddit searching, checked here, and still thought I'd discuss. I've ordered a Beretta 1301 with an RMR mount (LTT build) and was looking for an optic that would work for kicking around.

These seem to have favorable commentary, are effectively the same as Swampfox, have seen plenty of time on 12ga hosts, and are about 1/3 the price of a Holosun with an RMR footprint. I generally prefer Holosun offerings, and run them on my carry/range handguns, but this piqued my interest. Lifetime failure warranty and top-loading battery are a plus.

Thoughts?

Edit: I'm impulsive and I bought one.

For discussion purposes, this apparently doesn't have true "shake awake" after a set time period, which is something I prefer on my carry. May not be an issue for my shotgun application, however.

In an interview, the rep from gideon says they're "good enough" for most people, but doesn't recommend their products if you're doing halo jumps and swimming through arctic water to go do critical missions on behalf of nations.

So, probably more than most of us will ever need

I'm interested in seeing how this works out. Go test it. I've held back from putting an optic on my 1301 because I don't shoot it.
