Haha but really I have a buddy in the space force they are satellite nerds and computer programmers. I think before each branch was doing their own thing. Makes sense to consolidate it.

All joking aside, I don't think a "Space Force" is a bad idea. Satellites, low-orbit weapons, comms, etc. will all play an increasing role as time marches on.
I'm a pioneer... worked spacetrack radar 78-82 and officially have my "Space Systems" proficiency badge.
Applied for the enlisted mission specialist program on the shuttle but was told they had enough in my specialty so I retired.

They just go through a wormhole, back in time, and enlist again - therefore there's never an actual "veteran", they're always still active duty.
