Now that I have both my Black Hunter and Bear Grizzly with me on this trip, I shot both at the same time. Both are rated at 45# draw.
I had not done that at home.
I don't know if it was always the case, but the Black Hunter has a noticeably lighter draw, and I discovered that I really do need to use a thicker leather vs all calf skin Black Widow tab with my Bear. My middle finger pad is still kind of numb from shooting over a week ago.
Do limbs on take downs get weaker with use? Or is it that the Black Hunter is just a cheap piece of crap that breaks down?
I do plan on checking out the new Sammick Discovery ILF bow when the budget recovers. Price is great for Carbon/Foam limbs.
The advantage of the more expensive ILF bows is more choices for longer length (Lancaster recommended a 70" AMO length for my 29 inch draw). But the Discovery is targeted as a hunting ILF bow and keeps things more compact.
