Given the issues on our southern border and our recent discussions about pro/con on being a gray man in today's society, here's a good article on what can happen when the two meet.

If you don't read Defense One or Real Clear, you are doing yourself a disservice.

It’s not as if Belarus is doing this in secret. In May, after Lithuania and the rest of the EU loudly protested the abduction of an opposition journalist, Lukashenko vowed to “flood the EU with migrants and drugs.” Soon Iraqis and others began crossing into Lithuania by the dozens, then hundreds, then thousands, applying for asylum in the Baltic state. (In 2019, 46 undocumented migrants entered Lithuania from Belarus.) Then migrants began crossing Belarus’s borders with Latvia and Poland as well. In October alone, Poland recorded 15,000 illegal border crossings.

This is how to destabilize a country—indeed, a continent. Every NATO member state should pay attention and think about how they would protect themselves should they be the next target.

Thank God we don't have something like that happening here... Oh, wait...

We talk about our own civil war. This makes me think it might not be against ourselves (Americans) or even about migrants looking to improve their lives, but against the infiltrators, the real hidden enemy sneaking in with them.

From that article:
Indeed, while Western countries should continue to support a rules-based international order, Lukashenko’s gray-zone aggression demonstrates that rules, too, can mean nothing.
This applies just as well to the far left groups here in the US. They don't care about your rules, except to co-opt the (legal) system and use it for partisan persecution.

This is how war starts
Except we're not at war with a particular country. we're at war with 2 ideologies. We're still fighting the war on drugs and the war on terror.
The cartels have integrated into mexico's govt. flooding our borders with migrants (shuttled by the cartel) makes it much harder to stop the people transporting drugs. Meanwhile, we're getting too many people from ME countries going to mexico and crossing the border with the illegals. They see an opportunity and they're taking it.

Hell, this is already being done inside our own borders, by the Biden Administration.
Secure the votes of the bleeding heart youths now that they've indoctrinated them and taught them to believe the leftist govt instead of looking at ANY history. The only people they have to worry about voting against them is old folks, who are also more susceptible to covid and vaccine side effects. funny how that works.

i'd say the country issuing the passports is a legitimate military target

which country? north africa? pakistan? all the middle east countries? all the EU countries that have accepted fighting-age-men as refugees and given them immediate citizenship without asking too many questions?

The specific country named in the linked story in the op that is issuing passports and giving free flights. That specific country, but these type of conflicts (if history is any indicator), do seem to spread

Gray zone aggression typically goes hand in hand with what is termed low intensity conflict. That is committing attacks and aggressive actions at a level below that which would result in a militaristic response or all out war.
