Are they worth the money or am I simply paying for advertising? Putting them in a RAV4. My dog and I travel a lot together after walking & the dog park. Is there an equivalent alternative with a lower price?

I think they are. Sure you can make cheaper stuff work and there's nothing wrong with that. As pricey as they are it's a quality product and if you have use of it, it's worth the money.

I dont have the weathertech brand, but do have some like it, and yes, they are worth it to me. I also take my dogs with me, and clean up is a cinch, and mud and whatnot is easy peasy. These are the ones I got, and I nabbed them off Amazon as a used set, and saved a decent amount over new, which mine were, just in a different unlabeled box. I have these in two different vehicles, both about 3 years, and they still look great.

They used to be made in the UK, David MacNeil decided to bring the plant to the USA and the rest is history.

When I got my Silverado backnin october the first thing I did was start looking at floor liners. I got mine off amazon. They’re called MaxLiner. They’re laser cut just like Weather Techs but $50/60 cheaper in my truck. I have the ones that go all the way across front and back and I’ve been very pleased. If you want a cheaper alternative that’s just as durable give them a look

I got the husky mats for my Tacoma. They fit great and they are made more of a rubber material. The Weathertechs are hard plastic and I would think your feet would slide more on them.

Currently have 2 sets of weathertechs and yes they’re very nice. BUT if I were to buy them again, I go Husky. Husky liners are a little more grippy and cover/fit just as well. WT are more plastic vs Husky being more rubber.

Correct, Tacoma here as well and yes my feet slide more on my WT’s.

I think they are ,they keep carpet covered more than normal mats.

I've got to get a set for the front of my new to me 2018 Silverado. The guy left the GM one in the rear of the crew cab . I use a truck as a truck ,but I'd like to keep it nice.

I spilled a large drink in floor and thanks to WT mats it was all contained, nothing on the carpet.

I have my set of WeatherTechs and while they fit great they are too much money for what they are in my opinion. May try another brand next vehicle. My WT's are looking rough after just a year.

Worth the money is hard to say. I like you fought it but bought a set and was pleased with fitment and like how they work but still wasn’t happy with price of piece or rubber but that was me just being cheap.

I’ve had WT mats in my f-150 for a little over 2 years now and they are great. My carpet looks brand new under them still.

I had weathertech in my old truck.
Now I have Bizon liners.

Bizon are cheaper, same "laser fit," better built, better "hold"
The Bizon has "nubs" on bottom to help grip existing carpet where as my weathertech ones were smooth on bottom and would slide out from under your feet, especially the passenger seat.

Weathertech is overrated, though still very nice to have.

Edited for spelling.
Also see that people like Husky liners as well. Similarly to Bizon, better hold and longer lasting that weathertech.

I have WT liners here and man did I make a mistake one time while cleaning the truck. I had armorall on a rag and ran it across the driver's mat to get some light dirt off and the next time I got in the truck I ended up on my head. Slicker than hell. Haven't made that mistake since.

As far as the WT mats go, they do clean easy but they are not that deep (think tread) to hold in mud etc. When it rains the backs of my pants get wet as the shoes drain off and it really doesn't have anywhere to go. It just puddles. The same for today at the boat ramp, my feet got wet and the sandals drained into the mat as a puddle. It's a quality product, IMO needs some tweaking. My back mat across the back floor does slide forward and bunch up making me take it out once a year, get it hot in the Sun and put it back.

I'd buy it again if there wasn't any other quality product out there, because this is a good product, but it sounds like there now may be a better design..

I have them in my Tacoma. My experience has been much like what others have stated. They clean up easy and have contained more than one spill. I think they’re worth it, but I haven’t tried the Husky brand either.

Did same thing with old truck of mine it had vinyl floors, work truck package with rubber mats laying on top. I cleaned it up real well one time and used armorall on both. Bust your tail slick with that rubber mat on top getting in and out till it finally wore off and got some sand back in it. Never again as well.

I have WT in my 2012 Silverado 1500 and like them, I've never noticed my feet sliding on them either. I considered Husky but IIRC the WT came up higher than the Husky on the sides and partially cover the sill plate moldings as well. The guys I hang with that drive pickups all seem to have WT and have nothing but good things to say about them.

hahaha glad I'm not the only one. It was all over before I could comprehend. Feet end up behind the firewall, face on the concrete and arms all over the place. The plastic the WT liners are made of, the light texture they mold in, and the light coating of armorall had friction at zero. Cleaning the mats with a car soap with carnauba wax (Mothers or Turtlewax) will do the same as well fyi, but is not quite as slick.

Yeah...I have WTs in DirtySCREW.....I like that you can hose them off....but I'm a little disappointed that they aren't keeping their "shine". I don't want to spray armor all or anything on them that could make them slick.
I've never had husky...
But I might try them in the next vehicle.

I've had Weathertechs and Husky liners. In my opinion they fit equally well and are both durable. I like the Husky liners better because as mentioned they seem to hold their finish better. The weathertechs are a harder plastic so they seem to get scratched and show wear a little more. It doesn't impact their ability to protect your carpet, it's just a visual thing.

I have weather tech liners in all my vehicles. I like em a good bit. Never tried other brands, but the WT seem to work as advertised. I've had them for years.

Have a set of the Husky liners in both of our vehicles. They are basically the 1st purchase I make with a new vehicle, and actually I bought them for my Tacoma before I took possession of the car.

Have the WeatherTech's in my work vehicle. I think that they are more slippery than the Huskys.

No issues with them, once they sit in the car and it gets warmer, they conform alot better.

I have weathertech liners in my nissan frontier. I've been pleased with them. No issues with them sliding around, they catch all the dirt, and when its time to clean them I just take them out and hose them off. Had them about a year so far, and they still look great.
