I haven't had the time to do HAM lately, but I tried to do a bit this afternoon. Really strange issue, my go to radio worked fine initially, bringing up the Greenville SC repeater. Then it stopped pinging the repeater. Then every time I tried to transmit...the screen on my Icon 746 Pro would go blank. Tried several frequencies and they all made the screen go blank when I key'd up.
Switched to my 275A and when I tried to transmit I got no ping from the repeater, and the 746 that was still on started flashing at the screen! Tried to turn off the 746 and it wouldn't turn off!
Looked at my panel voltage meters and my backup battery meter read 12 volts, voltage at my AC/DC supplied distribution panel volt meter was off. My AC power strip (surge protected) had tripped. So, with the AC power cut, my hole system went to backup battery, which is kept in tune only when I run a second power supply (which I haven't ran in awhile.
Backup battery voltage dropped to 12v (normally 13+) which wasn't enough to run the radio at the wattage it's set at. More of an available amps issue I'm sure.

So, I thought my favorite radio was toast, but it ain't!
