@Majicmike and the rest of you nagging me to try some competitions, what made me seem to be "a fine shot" was the apparent sound of my rounds hitting steel. What @18DAI didn't notice was this...

Thanks for the welcome!
Guess I forgot the "introduce yourself" part. I was a District Attorney Investigator for almost twenty years. Nine years in Guilford County assigned to High Point, working robbery/homicide and almost 11 years in Rockingham County working Major Crimes.
I am currently a Magistrate in Alamance County and work at a LGS part time. I also spent almost two years as an Instructor at a local indoor range.
I've been working with handguns, primarily, for 50 years. S&W 3RD Generation pistols being my preferred firearms. I also like HKs and Colts. I competed in IDPA for several years as well but just cant find the time to do so these days.
