Shot a DMR match last weekend. I did “ok”, but thought I should have done better. Figured my DOPE is off. So, I set up paper at 300 today to verify my drop chart.

Looks like I need to adjust my holds, but I don’t think I’ll be able to blame the gun for any misses!

That’s a 0.6” / .209 MOA group at 300yds.

Defender 77gr SMK, Odin Works .223 Wylde 3-Gun profile 18” barrel w/a couple thousand rounds through it. I was probably around 10-12x on the optic.

I have that exact barrel. I still have not tried beyond a basic 200 yd zero, with some light plinking at 300.

But when I zeroed it I shot like 10 rounds at 200 with a 1x6, then walked up to look at it and measure to the bullseye for my correction. Was surprised how tight the cluster was.
I've got a pile of heavy bullets to dial it in and try getting some better dope. Have so much to learn with this stuff. Have shot very few matches that had shots beyond 2-300.

Part of me wants to put more powerful glass on it and make it more DMR-y. What scope do you use?

I have a Burris XTRII 3-15x on this one. There’s “better” glass out there, but this one has served me very well.
